Klapp Media have designed the website, Røros World Heritage
The website was designed with the aim of bringing information and the history of Røros to a wide public. At the same time the website can be used by those with a ‘special interest’ whether historians or amateurs. We have purposely avoided the repetition of established cliche, such as ‘Røros red,’ (which is the predominant colour of the buildings and well recognised throughout Scandinavia), this is to show Røros in a fresh light, not shut in by old perceptions. This website aims to present the historical facets of Røros, in an up-to-date manner.
This web-site is a cooperation between The South-Trondelag County Library, The Røros Museum and and Røros Public Library.
Røros was added to UNESCOs of World Heritage Sites in 1980, refer also to Riksantikvaren, ( Norwegian Inspectorate of Ancient Monuments and Historic Buildings).
